Transactions rooted in strong partnerships

The Aegis team built a fleet of leased, transport category aircraft worth in excess of $1 billion from the ground up. The team has worked in partnership with some of the world’s leading airlines and financial institutions.

Some of the transactions the team has been involved in have included:

  • Executed sale and leaseback of 4 747-400s to Air France with financing from Sachsen Landesbank, Shinsei Bank, Deutsche Bank and CIC
  • Executed sale and leaseback of 4 737-400s leased to KLM Royal Dutch Airline with financing from GMAC
  • Acquired fleet of 26 737-200s from Delta Air Lines with financing provided by Transamerica Equipment Financial and GMAC Business Credit; successfully remarketed entire fleet
  • Acquired (2) A340 aircraft on lease to Air Namibia with financing through Rand Bank
  • Purchased A330-200 aircraft on lease to Swiss International Airlines
  • Acquired 5 CL-600 aircraft from Bombardier Capital on long-term lease to Air Canada with financing provided by NordLB
  • Acquired Alaska Airlines fleet of 737-200QCs and leased them to Aloha Airlines
  • Completed successful sale and leaseback of four Airbus A321 aircraft to Alitalia
  • Purchased a fleet of 13 737-300s and -400s leased to US Airways. Subsequently purchased 3 sister ship aircraft.
  • Obtained financing from a European lender for the acquisition of (3) 767-300s and structured long-term leases with TUI AG
  • Acquired and negotiated financing with PK Airfinance for an A330-300 on lease to LTU Lufttransport-Unternehmen GmbH
  • Leased first Western-built aircraft to the Moscow government-owned airline
  • Successfully remarketed close to 100 737 classic aircraft, including more than 20 in 2013-2015. In addition successfully placed 2 MD-80s and 6 A340s in the same period
  • Leased aircraft to African flag carriers Ghana Airways and Air Namibia
  • Converted and successfully sold commercial aircraft to VVIP jets, customized for a Head of State
  • Navigated numerous airline bankruptcies and airline restructurings
  • Completed transactions with many other major domestic and international carriers, including: Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, British Airways, Continental Airlines
